My Story
NDE & OOBE
At age 12, I had a severe concussion that resulted in a Near Death Experience, during which I became aware, truly aware, of the Other Side.
Two years later, at 14, I had a very conscious Out-of-Body Experience during which I became aware of my Guide.
Channeling & Ordination
In February 1989, I started channeling my Guides (where there is one, there are many in the background).
However, that April, I took Refuge in Tibetan Buddhism. Then I ordained as a Novice Monk in the Sakya Tradition in India in September 1990. I subsequently reaffirmed my monastic vows with the New Kadampa Tradition of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in July 1998.
Death of Loved Ones
In November 1992 I began caring for my 2nd adoptive mother Naomi until her death in January 1997.
I eventually moved to Eugene, OR and lived with my biological father Chuck until his death in April 2012.
Both losses, and others, were a cause of questioning the meaning of life.
Ouija & J-J
In June 2013, I had a Ouija Board custom-made to filter out negative communications. Thus, through it I reconnected with my Loved Ones and my Guides. However, it eventually became like using a slow, cumbersome typewriter.
Subsequently, I was inspired to attend a Gallery Reading with Joshua-John in 2014, during which Chuck absolutely proved his continuation and encouraged me to formally train in mediumship.
All of this led me to realize that my communication with the Other Side was not limited to my Guides, but extended to my Loved Ones as well.
Various Mediums
In April 2014, I began mediumship training with Certified Medium Joanna Bartlett, who led an Open and later a Closed Circle until 2019. She later authored several books on mediumship.
I studied mediumship with James Van Praagh through his School of the Mystic Arts, completing Mediumship 1 (June 12, 2017) and 2 (Jan 4, 2018). I didn’t continue to 3 due to cost, and JVP didn’t teach Sitting in the Power.
I read Intuitive Studies: A Complete Course in Mediumship by Gordon Smith and completed his Hay House course, Introduction to Mediumship, on May 22, 2017.
I discovered the Mediumship DVD program and Sitting in the Power CD created by Martin Twycross, along with his many other teaching materials.
In October 2017, I attended a Seattle workshop with Mavis Pattilla, the Matriarch of Mediumship, who advised me to study with Andy Byng.
Andy Byng
I completed the Sitting in the Power course by Andy Byng in February 2018.
I joined the 18-month Complete Mediumship Progressive (at about a third into the Progressive) by Andy Byng on the Mechanics of Mental Mediumship and completed his Color & the Soul course in June 2018.
Next, I joined the year-long Intermediate Progressive on Platform Mediumship by Andy Byng, along with his three 2018 courses: Me, Myself and I: A Journey Within, Deepening the Evidence, Colour & Mediumship, and The Private Sitting Medium.
I then joined the year-long Advanced Platform Mediumship Progressive by Andy Byng on Private Sittings and Platform work, plus four courses: The Essence of the Communicator, Deepening the Evidence, The Awakened Medium, and The Platform Medium.
Finally, from July 2021 to December 2022, I completed courses by Andy Byng: Deepening the Evidence, The Private Sitting Medium, The Awakened Medium, The Message, and The Fundamentals.

​*My intention is to complete the Online 2026 Online Progressive Group by Andy Byng to gain a practical knowledge of Claircognizance (Clear Knowing).
Mychael Shane
In January 2023, I attended the Online Physical Mediumship & Ascended Masters Level 1 by Mychael Shane and Julie Adreani. I knew Julie Adreani in April 2018 and discussed Physical Mediumship with Andy Byng in November 2021.
In April 2023, I attended the In-Person Physical Mediumship & Ascended Masters Level 2 by Mychael Shane and Julie Adreani and attended two seances with him and Julie where I witnessed truly amazing phenomena!
Inspired to study Trance Mediumship, I completed Trance—Taking Your First Steps by Andrew Codling from July to September 2023.
In April 2024, thanks to Julie Adreani’s invitation, I attended a seance with Kai Mügge, witnessing remarkable classical phenomena and receiving an Activation Stone.
In January 2025, I attended the final Physical Mediumship & Ascended Masters Level 3 by Mychael Shane and Julie Adreani, inspiring a deeper study of the Ascended Masters.
